I’m really looking forward to the summer shows, first of all are more fun to attend (i rather queue outside under a burning sun that like in January with -2′C with no sun), people seems to be more relaxed and inclined to have fun… will see what will make us talk this season.

I’ve highlighted the shows i’m looking forward to the most, in particular, not in a particular order, Moschino (never a disappointment), ETRO (i would wear Etro everyday at any occasion), DSQUARED2 (well, my fave show since their start), Neil Barrett, Missoni (even though last winter have been quite disappointing), and Les Hommes (these guys amaze me season after season).

Who’s Who #1 – JASON PARLETT

This is my first “Who’s Who” post, and i would like to introduce you to one of the hottest PR guy in town. Jason Parlett works at Elephant PR in Sydney, representing some of the coolest and freshest collections from a bunch of super talented Aussie designers like Ruby Smallbone, Therese Rawsthorne, Hotel Bondi Swim, Lee Mathews to name a few. He’s great on the phone, he’s great backstage, he’s great on stage, he’s great on posing for the press (at the MAC party paparazzi were screaming his name to get a photo), he’s great on creating outfits (memorable are the velvet bow tie and the Cartier bell boy outfit), he’s also a great DJ, a great entertainer… so… he’s a great guy… oh and a GREATEST friend. Jason Parlett ROCKS!!!

Frisoni Finetti – Australia’s latest menswear label

I came across this cool brand during Australian Fashion Week last month. It was my first fashion week in Australia, and didn’t know what to expect, especially from a menswear brand.

Well, I was happily surprised to see the high standard of Frisoni Finetti’s collection. It had a very European feeling through it; I loved the colour palette, black, white, and different shades of grey, alternate to peach and light blue/green looks. Patent leather trainers, loafers and sandal in flashy summery colours completed the looks.

Many major trends for S/S08 in one collection.

My first post!

How are you? Welcome to my blog.

This is my first post of my first ever blog. Many people I know have a blog, some are very interesting, some are very funny, some are just lots of crap. My friends and flatmate are constantly reading blogs, and i do to, it’s quite addictive I’ve to say. So… I thought “Why Not?” and here is my blog.

Who am I? I would define myself a visionary (there’s where the name of the blog come from), I’m a stylist and an art director. I create imaginary visions and concepts for the fashion and entertainment industry.

Many people ask me what’s actually my job involves… the easiest way to explain is “I dress people” but actually there’s much more work behind that just dress a beautiful girl or a handsome guy. I create stories, normally starting from a movie, a song, a place I’ve seen, a book; and try to translate these stories in fashion shoots. Together with a producer and the photographer I find the perfect location, cast the perfect models, etc.

I love my job.

Most of people that sees this from the outside thinks it’s all glamour and glitter but it’s actually a very demanding job, just dealing with “the fashion crowd” every day could be tiring for itself.

In this blog I’ll try to show a different side of this profession and share my experiences in the business.

Hope you all will enjoy this trip through the coveted world of fashion.
